Hello,
I am a lapsed wargamer who has recently moved to Stratford and am looking for a club to get me back into the hobby. Is it OK if I come along on 20 February?
Regards
Richard Hill
Hello there. Of course you can come along on the 20th. Not sure what games are on, but no doubt there will be something to whet the appetite. What games are you interested in? If you register on the forum you’ll see what stuff is currently making it to the tabletop.
Cheers
Tom
Early 50’s interested in Ancient History and Modern conflicts. Play / have played Flames of War, Commands & Colors, Cold War Commander, Force on Force, Hail Caesar and many boardgames.
Hi Lawrence
Sorry for not responding sooner, we mostly monitor the forum rather than this page. We do play most of those and many more so come visit us at the club and register on the forum.
Cheers
Andy
Hi, I live local and am looking to join a club, im a lapsed gamer looking to start up again. Im into Necromunda from gw. I have a few gangs and looking for a few like minded people to hang with and enjoy the hobby
Hi, Is this club still active as interested – mid 40s, getting back into games following a 30 year gap, just starting Kings of War, Dreadball and EPIC Cardgame (recent Kickstarter)
Yes (just a little distracted of late!)
Dreadball, KoW are all live games for us at the moment, along with a host of other treats to tempt you.
If you can make a Monday night, we’d be happy to welcome you. Sign up for the forum to meet and greet the members and arrange games.
Hi, I’m moving to Kineton this month and feel like it’s time to start war gaming. I have always wanted to get into it but never had the chance. Since this club is pretty close I’m keen to test the waters if that’s ok. Just wanted some information if that’s ok. Would I need anything to come along? What’s the age range? Things like that. Sorry to be a pain and thanks for any info you can give me. I’m hoping to come along sometime in February if that’s ok.
Thanks and I look forward to start gaming.
Hi Liam – welcome to the area!
We meet on Monday evenings, 7:30 until late, at the Hodcarrier pub in whitnash. The only age restriction is set by the late night and the pub location.
Lots of different games to get your teeth into. If you register for the forum you can see what’s going on and arrange to join something.
Hello, anyone,
Full time resident of a tiny village over the hill from Kineton, and hoping to get back into the swing of things. At Uni, I was part of a gaming society where I was first introduced into the delightfully ordered anarchy of Role-Playing Games. I’ve played in campaigns of Star Wars, Vampire World of Darkness, Dark Heresy (albeit playing a Rogue Trader-type character) Dungeons and Dragons, and a steampunk fantasy game I can’t quite recall the name of. All this was experienced in a three-year span, but I graduated last year and have been cut off from the tabletop world ever since.
Sorry if this is incredibly short notice- I only found out about this little club today -but would it be kosher if I dropped by tomorrow? No need to shoehorn me into any games, I’d just be very interested to see what’s what. With any luck, I could slot myself back into the gaming fray.
With thanks,
Asher
Oh, and I forgot to add Cyberpunk 2020 to the list.
Hi – not a problem for you to drop by. Plenty going on so quite a bit to check out.
Hi,
Do you have anyone in the club who plays Force on Force in 20 mm, modern African conflicts? I’m looking to get back into gaming.
Thanks
We’ve had one game of Force on Force in 15mm – Vietnam. I have both VC and US so could go for that again. I know another member (Paul) was looking at moderns but not sure on scale or rules.
I’ve been looking at Tomorrow’s War for sci fi and considering some projects.
Quite a few club members have 15mm African stuff for the Peter Pig AK47 rules.
Hi,
Would it be okay if I turn up tomorrow 05/09/2016, i am still interested in joining just been busy.
Thanks
Of course – lots going on as usual.
Hi,
I called in Monday and was made very welcome, thanks. How do you organise an opponent for a game?
Hi – it was a pleasure.
If you sign up for the forum you can arrange games.
Hi , I was hoping to come along to the Club on Monday 23rd Jan? I have played some war games previously amongst friends but would like to get move involved. Kind regards Glen
Hi Glen, we are still around and if you are still interested in our club we would be happy to see you. I feel terrible that it’s taken a year to respond, sorry.
Ha ha don’t worry , I may take you up on it if your still going ! Please don’t take a year to reply !!!
